HI!
I am looking for information on a Roy L. Holmes. He was married to Lena Grace. They lived for a while in Eaton Rapids, MI. They had 7 kids. One was a baby boy that died. Roy's fathers name was Smith Holmes and he married an Indian woman. That is all the information I have. SO anything would be greatly apprecicated. Thanks

Michelle: My family comes from Eaton Rapids, MI My greatgrandfather was Louis Leonard Holmes. His sons were Roland,Leonard,Malcolm, daugher named Ione. Malcolm and Ione are still living. Michelle: Success!!!!!!!! I did some checking and Roy Holmes was my greatgrandfathers brother. He was married to Lena Grace. Their childrens names were Dorothy,Crosby,Evelyn(m. unknown Green),Charlotte,Elaine(M. unknown Brotski),Vesta(m. unknown Brotski??),Ruth. Roys fathers name was Perry Holmes. Maybe Smith was a nickname??? Please e-mail me and we will "talk" Robbin

I just might have something on a Perry Holmes. I will dig out my notes. Could he be from northern Ohio, maybe Toledo, Ohio area? I will dig.

Thank you Alleta: Perry could very well be from Ohio. Im not sure of his place of birth.His full name is Leonard Perry Holmes. Who are your relatives???? Could we be related??. Cant wait to hear from you . Thank you Robbin

Aletta: Leonard Perry Holmes was my gggrandfather. He was married to Amelda Smoke and then to Katherine LaPointe. I live in MI. Thanks for the response. Robbin

Michelle; my family originates from Clinton Co. too. They seemed to move around alot. My mother was born in Eaton Rapids, her name is Arlene Holmes. My family story has a strange twist. My grandfather was raised by a family named Holmes, and I have precious little information other than that. My story is that my greatgrandfather was an Indian Man named Tinklepaugh, his wife was Irish, she died giveing birth about 1900. Needing a wetnurse my greatgrandfather gave up his son to a family named Holmes, who had just had a stillborn son. My grandfathers name was Veane E. Holmes. He suspossededly lived with his Holmes parents untill they passed away in the mid 1920`s he then Married Anna Clark-Shaw and had 3 daughters. Velma, Vera, and Arlene. He drove truck for Earl Greenwood Trucking. He divorced in the mid 30`s entered the milatary in the late 30`s. After the service he lived in Musk. Mich, he remarried to Evelyn Hall. In 1945 Arlenes mother passed away from cancer and she moved in with her dad; she was 10 yrs old. Veane passed away in 1952. She was then 18. Veane talked very little about his parents, family or childhood. I`m now trying to trace my families lineage with no luck. I am not able to find any trace of him anywhere. After reading your message I felt our storys crossed. What do you think? I would like to here anything that anyone has that may help me in my quest.
